Brain trust

Get a sneak peek at the rock musical “Bloody Brains in a Jukebox,” coming to Coney Island in November. The trio Pink Velvet Witch will play 17 songs from the rock epic about aliens, murder, and brain transplants, including “Atom Bombs in the Backyard” and “When We Took that LSD.” The show will repeat on Saturday night.

Sweet stuff

Slurp down the sweetest of stouts at Pastrytown! This beer festival sponsored by Other Half will feature 35 brewers pouring black beers flavored with chocolate, coffee, macadamia nuts, vanilla, and other dessert-derived flavors. Meanwhile, professional wrestlers will smack each other around a ring at the center of the fest.

Irish ayes!

Celebrate the saint who chased the serpents from the Emerald Isle, at the 44th annual Brooklyn St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year’s Grand Marshal is Bernadette Buckley Kash, founder of the Buckley School of Irish Dance, so expect to see plenty of quick-stepping dancers along with the usual bagpipers and kilt-clad revelers!

1 pm at Bartel-Pritchard Square (Prospect Park West and 15th Street in Park Slope, www.brooklynstpatricksparade.com). Free.

Opening up: Tom Keough and 11 other artists from Park Slope and Windsor Terrace will display their work at Nitehawk Prospect Park, with an opening reception on March 20.

Game on

Prospect Heights nerd bar the Way Station launches its monthly Game Night, a team-up with the 20-Sided Store that promises to be “a perfect storm of gaming, drinking and geeking out.” Meet new people as you crush your enemies in party games like Codenames and Werewolf, taught by a 20-Sided Game Master.

Opening Nite

The recently renovated Nitehawk Cinema Prospect Park will showcase a dozen local artists tonight, at the opening reception for its new exhibit on the second-floor mezzanine. Paintings from Tom Keough (pictured) and 11 other members of the Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists group will be on display through April 16.
