Bump it with a trumpet
Vocalist and trumpet player Spencer Ludwig brings his high-energy pop songs to his hometown, launching a monthly residency at Freehold tonight. The funky horn player told Forbes that the party will combine “the essence of Studio 54, Sleep No More, and a sweaty Brooklyn dance party.”

Freak show
If you’ve ever felt like an outsider, you’ll be able to relate to the comedy show “Outcasts,” which features funny people sharing their feelings of being out of the norm. Staying power
Ironically, you will have to leave the house to appreciate the celebration of introversion that is “41 Reasons I’m Staying In,” a lavishly painted book about people being comfortable in their rooms, from Brooklyn illustrator Haley Held.
