Fall forward
The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in Red Hook launches its Fall Show this afternoon! The massive warehouse space includes six different exhibits, including the “Really Affordable Art Show,” “Locations,” “Material Matters,” a collection of album art, a section of enormous art installations, and “Escapades,” a lighthearted show from members of the Coalition.

Nerdy folk-pop duo the Doubleclicks will play an extremely intimate show tonight at Williamsburg board game spot the Twenty-Sided Store. The sibling singers will perform songs about Dungeons & Dragons, being socially awkward, and other subjects that could be taken from the shelves of the store.

When you stop by the Brooklyn Academy of Music tonight for the opening of the Next Wave Art exhibit, look up! An installation of tables, chairs, and teacups by Brooklyn artist Ioanna Pantazopoulou will float above your head like a chandelier, as part of the “Towards a New Archaeology” exhibit. Grab a free drink and explore work by her and six other artists, in this space, BAM Harvey, and BAM Fisher.

Can’t stop the ‘Beat’
The five-day Bushwick Film Festival kicks off tonight with a red carpet reception and a screening of the hyper-local flick “Bushwick Beats” — an anthology of six short films shot in the neighborhood, all with the theme “unconditional love.” The party will continue with drinks and dancing down the street at Lot 45 at 10 pm.
