Major lifts

Combine Canada’s greatest songwriter and its best dance troupe, and you get “Leonard Cohen’s Dance Me,” happening tonight as part of the Bric Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival. The group Ballet Jazz de Montréal worked with the late Leonard Cohen before his death to create a sprawling homage to his music.

8 pm at the Prospect Park Band Shell [Prospect Park West and Ninth Street in Park Slope, (718) 965–8900, www.bricartsmedia.org/cb]. Free.

Night moves

Stop by Green-Wood Cemetery for a screening of the comedy “Wild Nights with Emily,” starring Molly Shannon as the poet Emily Dickinson — the one who wrote “Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me.” The movie includes her passionate romance with another woman, which was covered up after the poet’s death.

8:30 pm at Green-Wood Cemetery [500 25th St. at Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, (718) 210–3080, www.rooftopfilms.com]. $16.

A clean sweep!

Before the Boys from Brooklyn take on the hated Staten Island Yankees, an old-fashioned game of stickball will take the field! The Brooklyn Stickball Team will face off against the Staten Island Stickball Team, while Jay Cusato’s documentary “When Broomsticks Were King” plays on the stadium’s screens.

No actual ladies will be naked: The Barenaked Ladies will play the Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island on June 27.

3 pm at MCU Park [1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th St. in Coney Island, (718) 449–8497], www.brooklyncyclones.com. $12–$17 ($12–$15 in advance).

Gooooaaaals!

Look, nothing at work today could be nearly as exciting as watching the semi-final match of the World Cup. So ditch the office and head down to the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge, where there will be food, drinks, and a giant screen showing the match between whoever makes it to the next round. One rule: no vuvuzelas under the arch!

2 pm at Archway Under Manhattan Bridge [Water Street between Anchorage Place and Adams Street in Dumbo, (718) 237–8700], www.dumbo.is. .

Beat it

And it’s back to Prospect Park to see Afrobeat band Antibalas! Yes, this makes two Celebrate Brooklyn! acts in this week’s listing, but the Brooklyn band puts on an amazing show, and this year will play tunes from its latest album “Where the Gods Are in Peace.” Openers Combo Chimbita and DJ Nickodemus will get the party started.

7:30 pm at Prospect Park Band Shell [Prospect Park West and Ninth Street in Park Slope, (718) 965–8900], www.bricartsmedia.org/cb. Free.

Bottom’s up!: Queen Titania (Vanessa Butler) will romance big-eared Bottom (Corey Whelihan) in Smith Street Stage’s modern-day production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
