A clean sweep!
Before the Boys from Brooklyn take on the hated Staten Island Yankees, an old-fashioned game of stickball will take the field! Gooooaaaals!
Look, nothing at work today could be nearly as exciting as watching the semi-final match of the World Cup. So ditch the office and head down to the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge, where there will be food, drinks, and a giant screen showing the match between whoever makes it to the next round. One rule: no vuvuzelas under the arch!

And it’s back to Prospect Park to see Afrobeat band Antibalas! Yes, this makes two Celebrate Brooklyn! acts in this week’s listing, but the Brooklyn band puts on an amazing show, and this year will play tunes from its latest album “Where the Gods Are in Peace.” Openers Combo Chimbita and DJ Nickodemus will get the party started.
