A day’s rain translated into a foot-deep pond on a Gowanus street this afternoon.
The chilling two inches of precipitation that fell throughout the day, according to our pals at Weather Underground, collected in a low spot on Third Street between Bond Street and the Gowanus Canal, forcing Ford drivers to make their vehicles live up to their brand name.
Meteorologists expect the rain to continue overnight and let up around noon on Thursday, giving way to a 74-degree high and a partly cloudy sky.
