Misty eyes and congratulations accompanied the send-off for departing elder advocate Darlene Foscale, who retired from the Jay-Harama Senior Center after 21 years as program director.
Foscale was bid a fond farewell by her fellow workers and administrators during a program of tribute at the senior facility, 2600 Ocean Avenue, where she was presented with accolades of recognition from local dignitaries; among them, a proclamation from Borough Hall and citations from State Senator Carl Kruger and Assemblymember Steven Cymbrowitz.
Foscale is leaving to embark upon a new career as a market specialist. Her successor is Risa Erps.
