Gay pride on parade through local streets

Sunlit frolics, followed by a moonlit jaunt, drew mom, dad and the kids to Brooklyn Pride festivities in Park Slope.

The annual celebration of the borough’s gay, lesbian and transgender communities featured a cornucopia of crowd-pleasing activities for moms, dads and the kids, including a 10K charity run, a multicultural festival and live entertainment along Prospect Park West at 15th Street.

Vendors provided a treasure trove of delights for shoppers, hawking everything from jewelry.

Professionals distributed information to health-smart visitors about AIDS and the HIV virus and acquainted visitors with available services in the community.

Later, revelers united beneath a dusky sky for a night parade, from Bartel Pritchard Square up 7th Avenue to Berkeley Place, followed by a traveling “after-party” at different locations.
