Bay Ridgeites looking for a tasty bite won’t have to travel far as German Doner Kebab, an internationally-acclaimed kebab restaurant, is opening a new location in Bay Ridge next month.

The chain restaurant — known for serving up doner kebabs with fresh chicken or beef slowly cooked on a vertical rotating rotisserie with chopped veggies and sauce in a warm pita wrap  — will open its second Brooklyn location at 465 86th St. with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 12.

According to Jon Andresen, the franchise’s director of operations, the decision to expand their brand to Bay Ridge was a “no-brainer” as the neighborhood is full of diverse cultures and foods.

“Bay Ridge is a very diverse community and when we came into this business we wanted to be about diversity and be in neighborhoods with different communities,” Andresen said. “Community is very important to us.”

The team shared news of two new locations coming to Brooklyn on social media last fall.

German Doner Kebab has more than 150 locations worldwide with locations in Sweden, Dubai Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Canada. After successfully opening restaurants in Manhattan and Queens early last year, owners finally came to Brooklyn and opened a kebab kiosk at 261 Joralemon St. in Downtown Brooklyn in November.

Andresen said the brand also plans to open a location in Brighton Beach in March.

“It’s been very fruitful and we’ve enjoyed being in all the locations that we’re in,” he said. “People know kebabs but they’ve never seen it in this facet before. We call it kebabs done right.”

The eatery will  dish out doner kebababs from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and from 11 a.m. until 12 a.m. on Fridays. The Bay Ridge location will be run by Yunus Shahul and Thameem Shahul who also own all of the New Jersey and New York locations.
