rooklyn College’s Department of Theater hosts “GI60” (Gone in 60 Seconds), an international one-minute play festival with performances on both sides of the Atlantic and on the Internet.
No fewer than 50 new plays, each lasting 60 seconds, will be brought to life by a cast of Brooklyn College Theater BFA and MFA students, alumni, and professional guest artists; at the same time, another 50 original plays will be staged at Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK.
At Brooklyn College, the festival will take place at the New Workshop Theater June 13-14 at 8 p.m. Admission is $7. For reservations, call 718-951-5000 extension 2768.
All 100 plays will be filmed and available for viewing on the Screaming Media Productions web site (www.screamingmediaproductions.net); a selection will also be shown on the BBC Big Screen in Millennium Square, Leeds throughout the summer.
