The purse-snatchers ambled up to the 29-year-old victim at 3:10 pm and tugged at her bag, commanding her to, “Let go!”
She held on tight, but the hoods overpowered her, taking the purse.
Hot wheels
A thief smashed into a house on Hoyt Street, using a fire-hydrant cover to crack open the front door on March 5.
The crook shattered windows on the front door, between Warren and Baltic streets between 7:40 and 8:30 pm, with the hydrant component.
The residents returned home to discover that two mountain bikes had been stolen, worth $500.
Getaway
A knife-wielding trio unsuccessfully tried to mug a man on Rapelye Street on March 3.
The would-be robbers accosted the 22-year-old victim between Hicks and Henry streets at 7:30 pm. Quickly appraising the situation, the victim bolted. The muggers pursued, but the man safely made it into his apartment on Rapelye Street before the perps could catch him.
Cash and cigs
A burglar raided a Ninth Street deli on March 4, hauling away thousands of dollars in cash and cigarettes.
Security cameras at the bodega near the corner of Smith Street captured images of the thief breaking in through the front door at 3:30 am.
The man took $1,000 cash, plus 40 cartons of Newport and Marlboro smokes, worth $2,400.
