The NYPD released a video of a drive-by gunman firing multiple shots from the passenger seat of a vehicle in Gowanus, hitting one victim multiple times on Aug. 11.

The shooter leaned out of the side window of the moving white sedan on Baltic Street near Third Avenue at 12:50 am, pulling the trigger at least three times, the video shows.

The 50-year-old victim was riding a bicycle through a nearby courtyard when he was struck in the shoulder and upper back, before the shooter’s car sped off along Third Avenue.

Emergency medical personnel rushed the victim to Methodist Hospital in stable condition. Police have not yet made any arrests in the case, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to police.

The incident comes amid a substantial increase in gun violence across Brooklyn this year — as the NYPD has recorded 439 shooting victims in the borough so far in 2020, compared with just 220 over the same period in 2019.
