man pulled a gun on a woman in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue on May 29, but was arrested minutes later in a search of the area.
Cops say the 16-year-old hoodlum and two accomplices approached the 24-year-old woman near the corner of Fourth Street at around 4:35 pm and demanded her pocketbook.
When she paused to consider the demand, the teen pulled a silver handgun on her and repeated his demand.
She handed over the goods, and the three perps fled. But the victim quickly flagged down a police officer and, with the victim in the squad car, cops were able to nab their man within eight minutes of the crime, according to the police report.
Slash burned
Two men who brandished a box cutter in an attempt to steal a man’s cellphone and iPod on Bergen Street on May 30 ended up with both men wearing handcuffs.
Police say the two men, ages 44 and 46, approached a 26-year-old man near Flatbush Avenue at around 9:20 pm and demanded the electronic equipment.
At least one of the perps displayed the ubiquitous razor while the other punched the victim in the face. But something spooked the would-be thieves, who ran away. But they were apprehended at the scene by cops who saw the whole thing go down, according to the crime report.
32 large
A Douglass Street man told cops that someone broke into his basement on May 11 and stole $32,000 from a filing cabinet.
The 60-year-old man, who lives between Fourth and Fifth avenues, did not report the alleged crime until May 29. He told police that he did not know the denomination of the bills.
Lost weekend
A Seventh Avenue man — and loyal Apple customer — lost hundreds of dollars in Mac-related products while he was away during the Memorial Day weekend.
The victim, 26, told police that he was away from his apartment, which is between Carroll Street and Garfield Place, from 4:30 pm on May 24 until returning on May 26 at 3:30 pm.
Once home, he noticed that his iPhone, two iPods and Apple speakers were gone. He also lost $50.
Bar bash
A barfly turned against another drinker at a Fifth Avenue bar on June 1, bashing him across the head with a glass bottle during a brawl of unknown origins, police said.
The victim, 40, did not give cops many details about what sparked the 1:30 am fireworks, but a witness said he nabbed the plate number off the assailant’s car as he fled the joint, which is between Union Street and Berkeley Place.
Bar bashed
An ale house at the corner of Sixth Avenue amd Fifth Street was broken into overnight on May 29, cops said. Thieves not only got away with $300, but with several bottles of liquor, cops said.
Pocketbook pick
A quick-moving thief grabbed a woman’s purse off her shopping cart in the parking lot of a popular Ninth Street hardware giant on May 27 at 11 am while her attention was distracted for just a second as she put her kids into their car seats.
