Hit-and-run driver kills woman in Flatbush: Police

Cops are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian on Flatbush Avenue on April 3.

Canarsie resident Linda Douglas, 67, was crossing the intersection at Nostrand Avenue shortly before 5 a.m. when she was hit by an 18-wheeler truck.

Paramedics arrived at the scene to find Douglas dead in the crosswalk with trauma to her head and body. The driver fled the scene before police arrived, according to authorities.

The investigation remains ongoing, with the Police Department’s Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad on the case.
