Audit rips Downtown Brooklyn Partnership over bookkeeping, salaries
The Brooklyn Paper / Julie Rosenberg

A new audit reveals that the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership isn’t great about tracking its expenditures, most notably the half of its budget that goes to staff salaries. The group’s president, Joe Chan, makes $220,000. Is that a lot for such an important official? You decide:

Mayor Michael Bloomberg: $225,000 (collects only $1 per year).

Councilman Brad Lander $112,500.

Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik Kahn: $205,180

Deputy Mayor Patti Harris: $245,760

Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott: $250,000 (though he collects only $213,000 of it).

President Obama: $400,000
