What’s better than a scantily clad stunner in fishnet stockings, high heels, and lacy lingerie bumping-and-grinding to a live brass band?
Fifty of them, that’s what.
And that’s what you’ll get at Wasabassco Burlesque’s Seventh Anniversary Extravaganza at the Bell House on Nov. 4 and 5. Oh, and you’ll get one more thing: hot and bothered.
“We’ll have magicians, contortionists, fire-breathers, and a big variety of stage acts,” said Doc Wasabassco, the mastermind behind his eponymous burlesque show that graces such venues as City Winery and Union Hall on a monthly basis. “It’s a big, sexy toolkit.”
The devilish dance performance, spanning Friday and Saturday nights, is by far the biggest birthday blow-out that Wasabassco and the gang have ever done — but they’re still cognizant of the real reasons everyone loves burlesque: striptease, pole dancing, and personality.
But this is Doc Wasabassco, so expect the unexpected.
And, of course, we’re talking about the strip re-enactment of an episode of “Battlestar Galactica.”
Wasabassco’s Burlesque’s Seventh Anniversary Extravaganza at the Bell House [149 Seventh St. between Second and Third avenues in Gowanus (718) 643-6510], Nov. 4 and 5, 9 pm. Tickets, $25 ($40 for both nights). For info visit www.thebellhouseny.com.
