The Fulton Street Mall joined neighborhood shopping strips throughout Brooklyn in heralding an early start to the Christmas shopping season.

With Halloween out of the way, yuletide decorations went up, although in many cases the decorative lights will not be lit until closer to Thanksgiving. On Fulton Mall, thicker garlands will soon replace the current, thin faux-pine ropes.
