A life-size papier-mâché fireman, created by Public School 154 kindergarten students, peeks brightly at visitors to the office space shared by New York State Assemblymembers Jim Brennan and Rhoda Jacobs.
The artwork, adorning a new gallery space in the window of the district office, 1414 Cortelyou Road, was launched during a ceremony, attended by the pint-sized Picassos, their principal and teacher, plus firefighters from Engine 240 in Windsor Terrace, where the school is also located, at 1625 11th Avenue.
Assemblyman Brennan’s 51st District covers Park Slope and Sunset Park, while Jacobs oversees parts of Midwood and Flatbush in her 42nd District.
