Karmic justice
A thief stole credit cards out of a double-parked car on Seventh Street on Oct. 23.
The victim told police she illegally parked near Sixth Avenue at 6:15 pm and left it unlocked. Five minutes later, the cards were missing. The lesson here: nobody likes a double-parked car.
Didn’t go quietly
Cops arrested a slow thief who stole a woman’s iPhone on Fourth Avenue on Oct. 22.
The victim told police that she was near Eighth Street at 5:15 pm when the perp approached and snatched the phone right out of her hand. When cops caught up with the jerk, he started to punch and kick them, then ran around flailing his arms to avoid the NYPD’s manacles. It didn’t work.
Overnight smash
Some jerk stole $1,600 worth of electronics out of a Toyota parked on Degraw Street overnight on Oct. 22.
The victim told police that he left the car at 8 pm near Third Avenue. At 1 pm the next day, he found his passenger window smashed and his laptop and navigation device missing.
Bold move
A brazen thief stole a Blackberry Bold right out of a woman’s hand on Seventh Avenue on Oct. 24.
The victim told police that she was getting into her car parked near President Street at 6:15 am when the creep ran past and swiped the phone.
Paint job
Some paint-sniffing perp stole a piggy bank and more than $2,500 worth of electronics out of a 12th Street home on Oct. 18.
The victim told cops that she was painting a room in her house, which is located near Sixth Avenue, and opened at window to let in fresh air at 11:30 am. At 2 pm, she returned to find the goodies missing.
Not locked out
Perps stole a bunch of computer parts from a Second Street apartment on Oct. 19.
The victim told cops that he left for work at 1 pm. Six hours later, he noticed the parts missing from his home, which is located at Fifth Avenue. A neighbor witnessed the burglary, but thought the perps were merely locked out of their apartment.
Open-door policy
Some thug stole more than $2,000 worth of construction equipment from a Third Street home on Oct. 19.
The victim told cops that he left the tools lying by the open front door of the house, which is located near Sixth Avenue, at 10 am. When he returned two hours later, his equipment was missing.
Mac miscreants
Some jerks stole a bundle of electronics out of a 12th Street home on Oct. 22.
The victim told cops that he left for work at 6:30 am without locking the back door. At 5 pm, he returned to his home, which located between Fifth and Sixth avenues, and found his Macbook, speakers, and television missing.
