-New York City College of Technology (City Tech) hospitality management student Theresa Gwizdaloski, left, was awarded the 2008 Les Dames d’Escoffier/International Culinary Center’s “Make a Difference Scholarship” valued at $40,000. Over the course of several months, Gwizdaloski will study for 10 weeks at the Italian Culinary Academy in New York City, then for nine weeks at the International School of Italian Cuisine in Parma, Italy, and finally work for another nine weeks in the kitchen of a noted restaurant in Italy.
