The summer solstice kicks off with steel drums and rock and roll outside the Dutch Reform Church, where local bands “Black Love” (left) and “The Streaking Healeys” share the spotlight for Brooklyn’s Make Music New York festival at the house of worship, Flatbush and Church avenues.
The free concert was part of a mass music street fest, occurring simultaneously in more than 300 cities around the world, with the Big Apple coughing up more than 850 performances in public places.
