A Bushwick block went into lockdown Monday evening after an armed man barricaded himself and others on Halsey Street.
The man locked himself in with three people near Knickerbocker Avenue around 4:15 pm, according to police.
The Police Department sent in its Emergency Service Unit to the scene and arrested the man just after 5:30 pm, according to cops. There were no injuries, according to a Police Department spokesperson.
The block was cordoned off and an NYPD chopper hovered overhead, according to videos posted on the Citizen App.
One onlooker said the incident was tense, but that she was glad it was resolved.
“I wasn’t sure who was going to move first, it was a game of chess,” said Brittany Sloan. “I am glad the victims got out.”
