A man jumped from a six-story Midwood building on May 4 and is probably going to die, authorities said.

Emergency responders found him on E. 14th Street between Avenues R and S at 1:04 pm, a Fire Department spokesman said. Officials on the scene believe the man jumped from the third-floor fire escape, according a photographer who was there.

Paramedics took the man to Lutheran Medical Center, but he is likely to succumb to his injuries, the department spokesman said.
