A man was shot on E. 37th Street while getting out of his car on Feb. 19, according to police.
“The complainant said he opened the door and was shot in the chest,” said a police spokeswoman.
The shooting happened around 2 pm near the corner of Glenwood Road in Flatlands. The 28-year-old victim suffered one gunshot wound to the chest from an unknown type of gun and went to Kings County Hospital by private means, the spokeswoman said.
Police said they do not have information on who shot the man or what the motive might have been, but the investigation is ongoing.
The fire department received a call about the incident, but did not go to the scene, according to a department spokesman.
