‘Mars’ crash lands on Dean St.

Traveling through time…

The corner of Dean Street and Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights looked like a photo from the disco-crazed 1970s Monday as film crews shot a scene from the new ABC show “Life on Mars.” Vintage cars from the Ford administration (pictured above) added a special touch to the story line, in which a present day detective is thrown back to the 1970s to solve crimes there without modern investigative luxuries like CSI teams. The show, based on a BBC hit, stars Harvey Keitel, Lisa Bonet and “Sopranos” star Michael Imperioli.
