Grab your towels and your swim trunks — because school’s out and pool’s in!

The former home of summertime hipster concerts just got a whole lot cooler after the city completed a $50-million renovation allowing the McCarren Park Pool to welcome swimmers for the first time since 1984.

Following decades of decay and three years of reconstruction, the Olympic-sized North Brooklyn watering hole will become the borough’s hottest aquatic attraction after its 11 am grand opening today.

Early reports indicate the water is fine.

McCarren Park Pool [475 Lorimer St. between Driggs Avenue and Bayard Street, (718) 965–6580]. June 28–Sept. 3; 11 am to 7 pm. Free.
