The Police Athletic League’s Miccio Head Start center will hold its annual health fair for the benefit of its Head Start families, and the extended Red Hook community, June 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The PAL’s aim is to improve services to the families and give them the necessary recommendations and resources. As such, the following services and screenings will be provided, and issues discussed, during the fair: family counseling, planned parenthood, mental health, HIV-AIDS, diabetic, domestic violence, pediatric care, breast cancer, blood pressure, dental care, asthma, lead poisoning, nutrition, prenatal care, cholesterol, and STDs.
The PAL/Miccio Health Fair will be held at 120 West Ninth Street. Tables and chairs will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
