A driver struck and killed a bicyclist on Ocean Parkway in Midwood early Thursday morning, according to police.
Authorities say that the 29-year-old cyclist was riding eastbound on Avenue N at 12:35 am when he tried to cross Ocean Parkway in the crosswalk and was struck by a 2020 Camaro SS, which was traveling north on Ocean Parkway with the green light.
Paramedics rushed the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead. His identity is being withheld pending proper family notification.
No arrests have been made, but the driver remained at the scene following the collision, and the investigation is ongoing. This article first appeared on AMNY.com.
