Model elders sparkle on the runway

Fugghedabout Bryant Park — Caton Park Nursing Home is the new kid on the style runway.

The golden set showed us all how it’s done by putting on the glitz — think elegant dresses, and dapper suits and hats — and creating quite a buzz as Recreation and Physical Therapy staff escorted them down the aisle during a fashion show at the elder facility on Caton Ave. between Argyle and Rugby roads.

Ethel Bracey looked like a queen as she walked in wearing a royal blue gown and silver capelet, while suave senior Clarence Baker was a scene-stealer in a dapper white suit and fedora. Baker proved he had the moves to accompany his fashion sense, drawing claps and cheers as he walked out, and began boogying with staff and residents.

“They all looked beautiful, and they all felt beautiful,” said Recreation Director Yvonne Coward, whose staff donated some of the attire for the day, and enlisted the help of a beautician to primp them gorgeous.

Relatives were stopped in their tracks by the striking sight of their attractive elders, remarked the administrator.

“They were shocked, amazed, astounded and very happy to see their loved ones all dolled up!”
