Moondog, a new listening bar and cocktail lounge, has officially opened its doors in East Williamsburg.

Created by siblings Einat and Elon Admony, Moondog offers Brooklynites an experience beyond the average watering hole, fusing immersive soundscapes, custom cocktails, and elevated street food.

Einat Admony, a three-time James Beard-nominated chef known for her work at New York staple Balaboosta, crafted a small plates menu inspired by her Israeli and Middle Eastern roots.

“We’re beyond excited to finally reveal what we’ve been cooking up (literally and figuratively)!” the pair shared on Instagram last month. “Our dream of a community space where artists, foodies, and audiophiles unite is coming together beautifully. Moondog HiFi Bar is opening soon — stay tuned for good vibes and great times!

The menu features a tantalizing array of dishes, including tacos, with options like chicken shawarma, mushroom al pastor, and lamb molé; empanadas, and sides such as yucca fries with harissa aioli, hummus, and esquites.

The cocktail program, curated by beverage director Josef Griz, offers craft cocktails with a Med-Mex influence. Signature drinks include the Manhattan Moon, made with Mexican corn whiskey, vermouth, and amaro, and the Jaffa Old Fashioned, featuring Añejo tequila, chocolate orange liqueur, and date syrup. Non-alcoholic options and a selection of natural wines are also available.

Partnering with Einat’s husband and business partner, Stefan Nafziger, the trio aims to create a communal space that celebrates their shared passion for music and culinary artistry.

The 800-square-foot venue was designed to embody high-end audio craftsmanship. A white marble bar sits amid exposed brick walls and lush greenery, with a custom-built DJ booth crafted from walnut as its centerpiece. The sound system includes Fyne Audio Vintage speakers paired with a McIntosh amplifier, creating a superior audio experience.

Moondog also features an outdoor patio with picnic tables and cozy seating. For a more intimate vibe, patrons can access a 300-square-foot speakeasy through a side entrance, ideal for private gatherings and curated listening sessions.

Elon Admony, a seasoned music producer and sound engineer, curates the bar’s nightly listening experience, featuring an eclectic mix of vinyl DJs spinning genres from legends like Miles Davis and Nina Simone, along with “deep listening” sessions of full albums for a concert-like experience.

Brooklyn foodies can head to Moondog, located at 119 Ingraham St. in East Williamsburg. Hours are 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. from Thursdays through Saturdays. For more information, visit moondoghifi.com.
