Macy’s mayhem

A lightning-fast thief stole a woman’s wallet off of a counter at the Fulton Street Macy’s on Sept. 21.

The victim told cops that she was paying for her purchases at the MAC cosmetics counter in the store, which is between Hoyt Street and Gallatin Place, at 6:30 pm when the thief struck.

Inside job

Cops arrested a Macy’s employee who let an accomplice walk out of the Fulton Street store with more than $1,000 in merchandise on Sept. 23.

Another employee told cops that the traitor only pretended to ring up a customer at the department store, which is located between Hoyt Street and Gallatin Place, at 1:12 pm. The cashier then let the customer go, but not before all the clothes were recovered and the police called.

iTheft foiled

Cops arrested a perp who attempted to steal a man’s iPod at the Pacific Street subway station.

The victim told police that the train stopped at the station, which is on Fourth Avenue, at 3:30 pm. The perp grabbed the iPod right out of the victim’s hand and then immediately returned it. His change of heart didn’t save him from the law. Other passengers alerted a nearby cop who soon had the perp in cuffs.

Subway sneak

Some jerk stole a woman’s wallet on the A train on Sept. 23.

The victim told cops that she had gotten off the train at the Jay Street–Borough Hall stop at 10:10 pm when she noticed her wallet, which contained credit and debit cards, was missing.

Ring up robbery

A long-armed jerk reached around a cash register and stole a woman’s wallet inside Brooklyn Fare, a Schermerhorn Street supermarket, on Sept. 23.

The victim told police that she left the register at 3:15 pm and noticed the missing wallet about 10 minutes later. The perp fled and later used both the credit and debit cards.

Polytech-nicked

Some creep stole a backpack out of a man’s locker at Polytechnic Institute on Jay Street on Sept. 24.

The victim told police that he secured the locker inside the college, which is between Willoughby and Johnson streets, at 5 pm. Three hours later, he noticed the lock was missing along with his backpack, which contained credit cards, a laptop, and a cellphone.

Car thefts

• A thief stole a Buick Century from Wyckoff Street. The victim told police that she left the car near Hoyt Street at 6 pm on Sept. 21, and returned three days later to find it gone.

• An advantageous villain stole a motorcycle on Livingston street while its owner was eating lunch at a nearby restaurant on Sept. 25. The victim left his wheels near Gallatin Place at 9:30 pm, and when he returned an hour later, the bike was missing.

• Perps stole a woman’s Nissan Sentra from Jay Street overnight on Sept. 23. The victim told cops that she left the car at 10 pm, and returned at 7:30 pm the next day to find it gone.

Metro mystery

A thief took a woman’s pocketbook out of her unlocked office in the Metrotech complex on Sept. 21.

The victim told cops that she left her office, which is located between Willoughby and Johnson streets, to get lunch at about 1:10 pm. Twenty minutes later, she noticed her wallet, containing $80 and a camera, was missing.

Through glass

Some thug smashed the window of a car on Pacific Street overnight on Sept. 21 and took equipment and a radio.

The victim told cops that he parked near Third Avenue at 9 pm and returned at 7:30 the next morning to find broken glass and that his $3,000 laptop, a power drill, and his car stereo were missing.

Sands slaughter

A killer fatally shot a man inside a Sands Street housing project on Sept. 24.

Cops arrived to the houses, located near Gold Street, at 11:30 pm to find the victim lying on an outdoor sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the back.

An ambulance transported the victim to Brooklyn Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead at 4:30 am on Sept. 25.

Cell slashing

An angry customer slashed the face of a man employed at Cellular World, located on Fulton Avenue, on Sept. 23.

The victim told cops that he was having an argument with the thug inside the store, which is near Duffield Street, at 4:10 pm when the creep pulled out a box cutter and cut the victim in the left cheek.
