Motorcyclist dies after collision with double-parked car in Bushwick

A motorcyclist died after plowing his two-wheeler into a double-parked car in Bushwick earlier this week, police said.

Luimy Acosta-Collado, 27, was riding his gas-powered motorcycle on Hancock Street towards Saratoga Avenue a little before 11 pm on Monday when he struck the back of a woman’s minivan, which she parked next to another car near Broadway, cops said.

Paramedics then rushed the man to Brookdale Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, authorities said.

A Police Department spokeswoman, however, could not specify whether Acosta-Collado died from impact or if another vehicle ran over him following the collision.

The 24-year-old driver of the double-parked Toyota Sienna minivan was not injured and stayed at the scene, according to cops, who said someone moved Acosta-Collado’s motorcycle out of the street before they arrived.

Officials made no immediate arrests and their investigation is ongoing, police said.
