Try not to consider it a harbinger of what’s to come, but the G train is barely running this weekend. Yes, there is a shuttle between North Brooklyn and the Bedford–Nostrand Avenue Station, but that’s little solace for lovers of the so-called “Brooklyn Local.” Stay safe out there this weekend, folks, and let not the vicissitudes of the MTA cloud your mind!
All changes are from Saturday, April 14 at 12:01 am to Monday, April 16 at 5 am unless otherwise noted:
2: No trains between Franklin and Flatbush Avenues. Take the free shuttle bus.
3: Service is extended to the New Lots Avenue station.
4: No trains between Manhattan and New Lots Avenue. Take the 3, N, Q or R.
D: Manhattan-bound trains run via the N line from Stillwell Avenue to 36th Street. Manhattan-bound trains will also run express from 36th Street to Atlantic Avenue–Pacific Street and will skip DeKalb Avenue from 12 am to 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday, and 12 am to 5 am on Monday.
F: Manhattan-bound trains run via the A line from Jay Street–MetroTech to Manhattan.
G: No trains between Queens and Bedford-Nostrand Avenue stations from 11 pm Friday until 5 am Monday. Take the free shuttle instead.
N: Manhattan-bound trains run express from 36th Street to Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street, and skip DeKalb Avenue from 12 am to 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday, and from 12 am to 5 am on Monday.
Q: Manhattan-bound trains run via the R line between DeKalb Avenue and Manhattan. Coney Island-bound trains skip Avenue U and Neck Road from 11:30 pm on Friday to 5 am Monday.
R: Manhattan-bound trains run express from 36th Street to Atlantic Avenue-Pacific Street, and skip DeKalb Avenue from 6:30 am to midnight, Saturday and Sunday. No trains between 59th Street and 36th Street from 12 am to 6:30 am, Saturday and Sunday, and from 12 am to 5 am on Monday. Take the N instead.
