Cops are hunting for two hammer-wielding maniacs who assaulted a man in Greenwood Heights on Oct. 14, and then robbed him of two iPhones and a backpack.

The 27-year-old victim told police one of the lowlifes smashed his head with the tool and knocked him to the ground on Fourth Avenue between 32nd and 33rd streets at 11:50 pm, then nabbed his knapsack and two Apple smartphones before fleeing.

Paramedics attended to the victim at the scene, and did not take him to the hospital for further treatment, cops said.

The suspects include a man, whom footage shows rode a black bicycle around the time of the incident, and a person of unknown gender, according to authorities, who said both wore handkerchiefs over their faces during the attack.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. All tips are strictly confidential.
