A 90-year-old Holocaust survivor was fatally struck while crossing Ralph Avenue on the night of Sept. 20.

Nissen Krakinowski, of Flatlands Sixth Street in Canarsie, was crossing Ralph Avenue near Avenue L when a light-blue Jaguar heading towards Avenue M struck the man at 7:24 pm, according to police.

When the police arrived they discovered Krakinowski suffering from severe head trauma and emergency services transported him to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to cops.

Krakinoswki was crossing Ralph Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk, according to police.

He was a survivor of the Holocaust and was leaving Congregation Beit Hillel of Flatlands, where he went every day to say Kaddish, a Jewish prayer for the dead, for his youngest daughter, The Yeshiva World reported.

The driver of the car remained on the scene and has not been arrested, police said, but the investigation by the Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing.
