Police are asking for the public’s help finding the thief who stole hundreds of dollars worth of quarters from a man in a bizarre robbery in Sheepshead Bay on March 11.
Authorities say the 44-year-old victim was carrying box that contained $500 worth of quarters while he was walking on Kings Highway near E. 13th Street at 3:50 pm. Cops say the suspect approached the victim from behind, grabbed the box of change, and then fled.
There were no injuries, according to the police.
