Cops are searching for a suspect they say broke into a Sheepshead Bay business and vandalized it with hate symbols earlier this month.
According to the NYPD, at around 11:30 a.m. on July 18, an unknown man unlawfully gained entrance to hot yoga studio Yoga Hell located on East 17th Street through an unlocked door just as someone else exited.
Once inside, the man allegedly began damaging the facility; drawing a swastika on a chalkboard, vandalizing religious items, and removing a prayer document from outside of the building. The suspect then fled on foot towards Avenue Z from 17th Street.
No injuries were reported during the incident and the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is currently investigating the crime.
