A bottle to the mug
A 39-year-old man was arrested for bashing another man’s face with a bottle on E. 89th Street on July 7.
The victim told police he was between Avenues L and M at 4:55 am when the suspect took up the glass bottle and clocked him.
Gunpoint beggar
A gun-wielding “frequent customer” at a Glenwood Road bodega was arrested for allegedly trying to rob a man working the counter of the deli on Independence Day.
The victim told police he was hard at work at the store between E. 104th and E. 105th streets at 7:55 am when the suspect, who he described as “a frequent customer,” came in and asked for cash. The victim refused and the suspect left, only to return later with a pistol, which he displayed to the deli worker by pulling up his shirt and revealing the firearm he’d tucked in his pants, according to police.
“You see my gun?” the suspect allegedly barked. “You still don’t want to give me that money?”
The bodega man apparently still didn’t want to give the suspect any money, as he’s only being charged with attempted robbery, according to court documents.
World of hurt
A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating one woman with a globe and punching another woman in the face on E. 83rd Street on July 7.
The victims told police that they were between Glenwood Road and Flatlands Avenue at 6 pm when the suspect took up the 3D map of Earth and brought it down one their heads, before taking his fist to the other’s face.
