Detectives are investigating a double shooting that left two men wounded Thursday evening in Ocean Hill, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call shortly before 6 p.m. and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds outside 1275 Herkimer St., authorities said. A 55-year-old man had been shot in the back, while a 33-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds to the left leg and groin.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading southbound on Rockaway Avenue, and was last seen wearing all black, according to police.

Emergency medical services transported the injured men to nearby hospitals. The 33-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, while the older victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. Both men were listed in stable condition as of Friday morning, officials said.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
