A.I.R. Gallery and The Feminist Art Project are hosting the panel series “The Issues of the Moment: What is the Future for Women Artists?” at The Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights. The topic of “Invisibility to Visibility” will be discussed, March 27 at 2 p.m.
The program attempts to answer the question: “Are museums opening up to women artists?” The night will be introduction by Elizabeth A. Sackler with panelists including Chrissie Iles, curator, Whitney Museum of American Art; David Revere McFadden, curator, The Museum of Art and Design; Alexandra Schwartz, coordinator of the Modern Women’s Project at the Museum of Modern Art; Jorge Daniel Veneciano, director of the Sheldon Museum of Art.
