Police: Suspect looting avocados attacks grocer in escape

Holy guacamole!

Police arrested a man for allegedly fighting his way out of a Myrtle Avenue bodega after he was caught looting avocados on May 21.

An employee told police the suspect was spotted filling his pockets with avocados at the store near Vanderbilt Avenue at 2:50 p.m., but when he moved to intercept the man, he took up a broomstick and smacked the hapless grocer, dropping his ill-gotten fruit and fleeing.

Cops arrested the suspect later that day and charged him with felony robbery, officials said.

Pirates in the park

Three louts jumped a teen in S. Oxford Park on May 20.

The 17-year-old victim told cops he was sitting on a park bench near Atlantic Commons when one brute struck him from behind with an unknown metal object at 4:50 p.m. The ruffian was joined by two others who punched and kicked the victim before taking his cellphone and fleeing the scene, according to police.

Paramedics rushed victim to Kings County Hospital where he was treated for his injuries, cops said.

Band of sinners

A group of baddies stabbed and robbed a man in front of a Clinton Avenue church on May 24.

Some five ne’er-do-wells followed the victim after he picked up his paycheck at Vanderbilt Avenue and walked towards the house of worship near Atlantic Avenue just before 8:30 p.m., according to police.

One of the malcontents asked the victim, “What’s up?” before the goons took him to the ground and he dropped his phone to protect himself, the authorities said.

During the brawl, the victim noticed one of the reprobates struck him in his lower back, causing pain, and the criminals fled towards Atlantic Avenue, cops said.

He later noticed that one of the louts had stabbed him and he went to Wyckoff Medical Center for treatment, according to police.

Delinquent duo

Two nogoodniks robbed a teen on Vanderbilt Avenue on May 25.

The 15-year-old victim told police that he was between Gates and Greene avenues at 5:40 p.m. when the two good-for-nothings came from behind, grabbed him, and snatched his phone, belt, and cash.

Scoot!

A villain struck a woman with a baby scooter on Saint Edwards Street on May 22.

The victim told cops that the wretch was having an argument with her near Park Avenue at 6 p.m. before she swung the scooter at her, striking the victim’s shoulder.

Scorched

Cops arrested a woman for allegedly hurling a cup of hot coffee at an employee, causing burns to her face and body, at a Flatbush Avenue Extension fast-food restaurant on May 23.

The victim told cops that she asked the suspect to take her feet off of a chair inside the eatery near Fulton Street at 4:20 a.m., causing the two to begin arguing.

The suspect then allegedly hurled the hot beverage at the victim, burning her face, neck, and chest, according to police.

Cops arrested the suspect on the scene just after 5 a.m., according to the authorities.

Slash attack

Cops arrested a Queens woman they believe slashed a woman at Saint Edwards Street on May 23.

The suspect allegedly attacked the victim near Park Avenue at 10 p.m., stabbing her shoulder and slashing her abdomen, causing serious injury, before paramedics rushed the victim to Brooklyn Hospital, police reported.

Police caught up with the alleged stabber and arrested her the next day just after 2 a.m., according to the report.

Taxing attack

A passenger attacked a cab driver on Fulton Street on May 25 — giving him a black eye.

The victim told cops he was driving four passengers to their destination near Hudson Avenue at 12:05 p.m.

When he stopped to let them out, one of his fares, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, began assaulting him, police reported.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Methodist Hospital, according to authorities.
