Police: Teen swipes merchandise and hits store employee

Caught red-handed

Cops cuffed a teen on Jan. 18 for swiping merchandise from a Joralemon Street store and punching an employee.

The 19-year-old suspect was leaving the store near Court Street with a bunch of merchandise at about 2:15 pm when an employee tried to stop her, she punched him in his eye, according to authorities. The suspect fled the store and cops caught her inside the Borough Hall train station, police said.

Courtroom brawl

Police arrested a teen for assaulting officers inside a Schermerhorn Street courthouse on Jan. 15.

The 19-year-old shouted “suck my d—” at a few cops as they tried to handcuff him inside the court near Smith Street at about 11:30 am, police said. But once they secured his wrists, he started flailing and swinging his arms, injuring the officers and causing them to seek medical attention, according to authorities.

Snatched stroller

Some crook stole a guy’s stroller from outside his Warren Street house on Jan. 20, police said.

The victim told cops the cur unlocked his gate outside his apartment near Smith Street at about 2 am and grabbed his Bugaboo stroller, according to authorities. The victim’s cameras caught the guy in the act, police said.

Bathroom bandit

A nogoodnik stole a guy’s bag he had hung on a rack in a public bathroom inside an Atlantic Avenue building on Jan. 19, police said.

The victim told cops he had put his bag — with his laptop, earbuds, voice recorder, and sunglasses inside it — on a rack in the bathroom at about 4:15 pm while he went in a private stall. When he came out five minutes later, it was gone, according to authorities.
