Tough teen
Cops cuffed a teen who they say punched another youngster in the face, breaking his jaw, on Vanderbilt Avenue on May 14.
The 16-year-old suspect struck a 14-year-old on the left side of his face with brass knuckles as he was walking towards the train station near Myrtle Avenue at about 3 pm, according to authorities. Paramedics transported the teen to Methodist Hospital with a shattered jaw, police said.
Watch out!
Some sneak swiped a guy’s watch, phone, and headphones from a construction site on Greene Avenue on May 11, police said.
The jerk hopped into the construction site near Clermont Avenue a little before noon and ran off with the victim’s Invicta watch, cash, iPhone, and headphones, according to authorities.
Smashed glass
A baddie broke into a guy’s car parked on Greene Avenue and stole his electronics sometime overnight on May 18, police said.
The good-for-nothing smashed the rear window of the car parked near Waverly Avenue from May 18 at 5:30 pm until 3:30 pm the next day, and stole a bunch of his wires and screens, according to authorities.
Bye-cycle
A punk stole a guy’s electric bicycle chained up on Fulton Street on May 15, police said.
The victim told cops he locked his Arrow black and red bike between S. Oxford Street and S. Portland Avenue at about 1:35 pm, and he returned to it a few minutes later, someone had clipped the chain and rode off with the two-wheeler, according to authorities.
Date night gone wrong
Two fraudsters stole a guy’s laptop, phone, and bank card inside a Washington Avenue hotel room on May 23, police said.
The 60-year-old victim told cops he went to the con artist’s home to ask if he “had a woman to have sex with,” and when the second hoaxster arrived, she and the victim took a cab to the motel near Greene Avenue at about 7 am.
But the victim fell asleep, and when he woke up at about 9:30 pm later that day, he realized his phone, laptop, and debit card were gone and the trickster had made charges on his debit card, according to authorities.
Stacks sneak
A baddie swiped a woman’s bag inside a library on Washington Avenue on May 16, police said.
The 39-year-old victim told cops she had placed her white tote bag down somewhere inside the book lender near Greene Avenue at about 7 pm, and when she went to look for it 10 minutes later, it was gone — with her MetroCard, keys, cash, and wallet gone too, officials said.
