PS 115 students write chapter on Halloween fun with storybook parade

Dragon kings and princesses bounced alongside bright-eyed witches while sweet cowpokes shared the sidewalk with gleeful ghoulies, all of them mesmerizing delighted pedestrians and motorists who waved and cheered as the pre-kindergarteners passed them by in a colorful human ribbon along E. 92nd Street, off Avenue M.

The Midwood High School Marching Band added to the frolics, and even performed a set inside the schoolyard after the trek.

“The kids put a smile on my face, and a lot of other peoples’ too,” laughed passer by Victoria Hitchens, 75, who said she even stopped to watch.

The walk also raised money for breast cancer research, said coordinator Jackie Zammit.
