Freshman Rep. Michael Grimm opened his district office on 13th Avenue in Dyker Heights on Feb. 26 — and his constituents couldn’t be happier.

“It’s good it’s here,” resident Alex Lintov told us as he looked at the small storefront office between 73rd and 74th streets, right between the Prestique Beauty Spa and C-Gal Jewelers. “I really like [Grimm]. I think I’m going to go in there and see him someday.”

Lintov was not alone: Borough President Markowitz and Councilman Vince Gentile (D–Bay Ridge) — both Democrats — toured the office on Saturday afternoon, noshing on cookies and cupcakes topped with American flags as they soaked in the serene, powder blue walls adorned with paintings of the Verrazano Bridge and the Coney Island boardwalk.

“This is nice. [The walls are] the same color as my bathroom,” one onlooker remarked.

Grimm, a Republican who represents Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Gravesend and Bensonhurst opted for Dyker Heights because it has very few legislative offices.

“Throughout the campaign, I heard over and over again that the Brooklyn side of this district had been neglected in the past,” Grimm said. “This office is one of the first steps I’m taking to make sure that everyone knows I’m very excited about representing them and working with them to make this community better than it is already.”

Nick Curran, Grimm’s Brooklyn district director, said he and constituent service representatives Liam McCabe and Clorinda Annarumo would be handling day-to-day concerns ranging from Social Security snafus to immigration problems. The office will also act as a base of operations as Curran and his team attends community meetings and functions for Grimm, who promised to be on the Brooklyn side of the cross-harbor district as often as possible when he’s not in D.C.
