Robyn show cut short at Bell House

Swedish pop star Robyn might be “Indestructible,” but the windows of the Bell House apparently aren’t.

The “Robyn Gets Weird” tribute party to the platinum-haired pop princess got weirder than expected Friday night when it was cut short because a wannabe partier punched out a window at the warehouse-turned-theater.

Police were called to the Gowanus hot spot and a capacity crowd was cleared out at around midnight when a man who became impatient while waiting in line to get in accidentally hit his girlfriend when he attempted to punch a member of the venue’s security team — then, in a fury, punched out one of the buildings windows.

“The cops showed up and it became really obvious it was going to be a huge thing, so we had to cut the music altogether,” said Russ Marshalek, one of the organizers of the event.

The man was arrested soon after, he said.

Up until that point, the party, which had been previewed on this website, was going strong, with a big crowd that is believed to have included “Girls” star Lena Dunham.

“The place filled up faster than we expected,” said Marshalek. “I Tweeted that it was the best “Robyn” party crowd we’d ever had. Some girl crowd-surfed, it was all fun.”

Marshalek is going to reschedule, he said, but hasn’t set a date yet.

“Wwe absolutely have to,” he said. “This party has grown bigger than any of us individually and we pretty much owe it to every single person to do it again.”

Robyn fans who can’t wait (or those who don’t know who Robyn is) can bide their time or learn about the star by watching Robyn’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” a show our editor still watches to keep up with trends in pop music.
