Scratch happy

Cops arrested a 42-year-old man who they say robbed an 18th Avenue cafe at knife point on Oct. 18.

Witnesses said the suspect entered the store, located near 64th Street, at 4:30 pm, flashed a knife, and ran off with a ream of scratch-off lottery tickets, slashing at a worker in the process.

Investigators from the 62nd Precinct caught up with the thief last week, charging him with robbery.

iPhone grab

Police say three teens ripped an iPhone from a 34-year-old woman’s grasp during a subway ride into the New Utrecht Avenue station on Nov. 2 — but they didn’t get far.

The victim told police that the suspects jumped the woman as the N train rumbled into the station near 62nd Street at 3:35 pm and ran off with her pricey Smartphone, only to be arrested by responding officers a short time later.

Bedroom raid

A thief broke into a Quentin Road home on Oct. 31, taking an assortment of jewelry from a bedroom dresser.

The victim returned to her home between W. Fifth and W. Sixth streets at 8 am on Nov. 2, finding her bedroom tossed about.

No charge

A crook swiped two generators sitting inside a truck parked on 86th Street on Nov. 1.

The truck was parked in a lot near 18th Avenue at 4:30 pm. When its owner returned several hours later, the driver’s side window was broken and the two generators were missing.

Bad trick

A thief broke into a Stillwell Avenue home on Oct. 31, taking an assortment of electronics.

A tenant in the building near 19th Avenue said the thief forced open a basement door sometime after 5 pm.

$2,000 taken

A burglar broke into a W. 12th Street home on Oct. 29, taking $2,000.

The victim, who lives between Highlawn Avenue and Avenue S, said that sometime after 9 am, the thief forced open a back window and a window guard in order to get inside.

Three on three

A ghoulish trio jumped three teens at the 25th Avenue subway station on Oct. 28, leaving them with a smattering of cuts and bruises.

The victims told police that they were entering the station, located near 86th Street, at 11:40 am when the suspects, one of whom was armed with a knife, attacked, slashing one teen’s arm. A second goon cracked his victim over the head with a sock containing a hard object — leaving him with deep gash that needed three stitches to close.

Purse grab

A sticky-fingered thief snagged a purse from a 43-year-old woman during an Oct. 31 exchange on 63rd Street.

The victim was near New Utrecht Avenue as she made her way home at 1 am when the thief ran by, snatching the woman’s purse from her hand as she passed.

Cash and carry

A thief grabbed a wallet, cellphone and $1,050 in cash that was accidentally left on an 86th Street grocery counter on Oct. 29.

The 28-year-old victim said he left the items on the counter for just a few moments at 1:43 pm when the unidentified suspect ran off with them.
