Police and paramedics exit the 7th Avenue F train station with the remains of a straphanger who reportedly took his own life as he jumped in front of an oncoming train.
Officials said that the man, whose name was not released, leapt onto the tracks at about 7:30 a.m. on November 19 just as a Queens bound G train was coming into the station; horrifying local residents heading off to work.
Service on both lines were disrupted for up to two hours as police investigated.
Although it’s still being investigated, the man’s death was labeled a suicide, officials said.
