Shake Shack, the wildly popular Manhattan burger stand, might soon find a mobile home in Brooklyn, it was reported this week.
The borough’s version of famed restaurateur Danny Meyer’s eatery will be a truck, likely located in Downtown Brooklyn, according to the Daily News.
The truck could park near MetroTech plaza during lunch hour, and roll on to other locations at night, according to the report.
Theresa Mullen, a spokesperson for Meyers’ Union Square Hospitality Group, would not confirm Shake Shack’s Brooklyn arrival.
“New York is a city of five wonderfully distinct boroughs. As we expand Shake Shack, we want to think about the city as a whole,” she said.
Shake Shack, located in Madison Square Park, is as known for its tasty fare—including burgers, hotdogs, and frozen custards called “concretes”—as it is for its long lines. The stand features a webcam to help potential customers judge the length of the line versus their own relative levels of hunger.
