Sharon Horvath, associate professor of Painting at Purchase College School of the Arts, School of Art + Design, showcases her painting “Snake House,” as part of “Shape Shifters: New York Painters,” a traveling abstract exhibition by 24 Brooklyn painters.
Currently on display at the A.D. Gallery at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, the exhibition is making its way back to Brooklyn, reuniting the artists who once displayed together in a Brooklyn gallery.
Horvath’s “Snake House” represents an imaginary structure that is rich in color and is evocative of space and forms.
The show runs through May 17 from 12-6 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays at the Sideshow Gallery, 319 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For more, call 718-486-8180.
