Five civilians and one first responder were injured Monday night in an “all hands on deck” fire on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, officials said.
A total of 12 units and 60 firefighters responded to the blaze, which broke out just before 9 pm on the second floor of 9215 Third Avenue, according to FDNY.

Units deemed the fire under control at approximately 10 pm, at which time six people were being evaluated on the scene for minor injuries, according to officials.

The three-story, mixed-use building dates back to 1927, according to property records, and houses an eyeglass store on the ground floor.
